Maintenance Mechanic – Food Processing Maintenance Mechanic – Food Processing

Shift: Night Shift-6 pm-6 am (every other weekend off)

  • 1st week 3 shifts
  • 2nd week 4 shifts
  • 3rd week 3 shifts
  • 4th week 4 shifts

Pay Rate: Starts at $16-$18+

Job Description:

  • Maintenance, repair, project, and preventative maintenance of food processing lines
  • Maintain the operation of the production equipment
  • Work with operators and other staff to identify and correct potential issues
  • Assist other departments where needed as directed by management
  • Work closely with Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or Leads on Maintenance issues
  • Schedule PM(s), training, and project coordination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and repair of ALL production equipment, and assist wherever needed regardless of dept. boundaries (Production Maintenance, Building Maintenance, Boiler Room, or in the Wastewater area)
  • Ensure the daily logs, PM(s), and CWO(s) are being filled out properly before being submitted
  • Document any issues that require follow up repairs/replacement and submit to the Maintenance Supervisor or the Maintenance Manager to generate work orders or add to PM(s)
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and any Maintenance leads in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
  • Follow ALL policies and procedures implemented by the company

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing, Food Processing
  • Must be able to work closely with management to complete work requirements
  • Possess the ability to work from manuals and prints
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate production demands, shift coverage, PM(s), and project completions
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision as well as work as a group on large projects
  • Previous Industrial Maintenance experience (Preferred)
  • Skilled Trades such as Mechanical, Welding, Fabrication, Electrical, Technical, Packaging
  • Ability to read and follow equipment manuals
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints
  • Ability to use multi-meters for troubleshooting
  • Ability to use a wide range of tooling for setting up mechanic to specs
  • Be able to work in varied temperature conditions within the working environment
  • Will be required to attend all safety training course provided by the company
  • Will be required to attend training as provided by the Maintenance Manager
