QA Technician

Talbot County, MD

Shift: 1st and 2nd available

Salary commensurate with experience



  • Inspect incoming components, in-process, and finished products according to documented specifications
  • Review all documents and approvals as required
  • Record data and maintain accurate records
  • Use Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel to prepare inspection sheets
  • Troubleshoot quality concerns
  • Prepare shipments and customer email notices
  • Review all paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Verify the calibration of inspection test equipment
  • Gather and investigate data relative to customer complaints
  • Assist the Inventory Control Manager with calculating and verify component usage at the end of production runs
  • Maintain the quality management system in compliance with current ISO standards, and FDA GMP regulations
  • May be required, as needed, to work overtime, weekends or alternate shifts
  • Perform pre-approval inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Travel to customer/vendor facilities as needed for quality-related issues
  • Assist in the generation and resolution of corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs)
  • Assist in the documentation and resolution of nonconforming material reports
  • Generate controlled labels as needed using programs provided
  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Requirements

  • High school Diploma
  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
  • Must have 1 year of Quality Control
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems
  • Ability to flowchart and graph data
  • Previous experience working with GMP Regulations pertaining to medical devices or pharmaceuticals
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Excellent problem-solving skills


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to a maximum of 50 pounds
  • Will be subject to dust, perfumes, and chemicals
  • Will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions
  • Must be able to climb, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, push, pull, lift, and grasp
  • Must have good visual awareness.
